13th International Symposium on Fusion Nuclear Technology

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the 13th International Symposium on Fusion Nuclear Technology (ISFNT), held in Kyoto, Japan, from 25-29 September 2017.

The ISFNT is recognized as one of the premier international gatherings for fusion energy and technology development, promoting the exchange of information on all scientific, engineering, and other technical aspects of the fields. The main goal of the ISFNT-13 provides the excellent opportunity for reporting on the states of the art in technical progress, discussing key issues, and synergistically identifying means to resolve these issues. The ISFNT-13 addresses both near-term fusion devices and long-term reactor technologies, and contributions related to science, engineering, experiments, facilities, modeling, analysis, design, and safety are encouraged. Moreover, the ISFNT-13 is fostering collaborations among scientists and engineers working on the many technical disciplines in those fields and to exploit synergies that have arisen in order to identify means to resolve the key issues in Fusion Nuclear Science and Technology. In addition, it will be also held a number of satellite meetings and workshops linked to the ISFNT-13,

The ISFNT-13 is hosted by Kyoto University collaborating with other Japanese Universities, JAEA and NIFS. Japanese fusion communities cordially invite the colleagues from all over the world to beautiful and historical city Kyoto in Japan. The ISFNT-13 will continue its recognized tradition of excellence and stimulate the interest of its participants.
